Can I work as an armed guard in California at the age of 20?

I know you can get a firearms permit at the age of 18 and I do own two handguns. (Yes it is possible to own handguns at the age of 18). How can I get a job as an armed guard? Thank you

Yes, in California the minimum age requirement is 18.

You must obtain a license from the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services of the Department of Consumer Affairs.

You must also undergo a criminal history background check through the Department of Justice and FBI.

Also complete a 40 hour course of required training. The training and exam must be administered by a private patrol operator or a certified training facility. Additional training is required to carry firearms, batons, or teargas.

Armed guards must also complete a 47 hour Firearms Course before they can become licensed. This includes 7/hrs of classroom and exam, as well as, 40/hrs firing range and weapons classification training. You will also be required to repeat an 8/hr training course annually to keep your status and license current.
