Is it important to wear eye protection in archery?
what happens if the line or bow breaks? all that tension seems so powerful, where does all that energy go if it breaks? has any archer been badly hurt when this happens, and if so, how? has anyone ever lost an eye on the day their old bow (or line) decides to give out?
Yes, you should always use eye protection. I have had an older compound bow delaminate on me and good thing I was wearing eye protection as the cable whipped out bringing the pulley right into my face.
