Point Black

What is the point in doing Black History in school?

I'm in school not, and I am simply BORED to death with all of this. We are even doing 3 projects on a person. What is the point in
Black History Month??? I'm not trying to be racist or lazy or anything.

Black have made and continue to make important contributions to the US. We need to learn recognize these. However, we only have so much time in a school year and allot of information to teach. We need to be aware what we are dropping to make room for these types of minority learning opportunities. I'm not saying don't do them only look at the effects.
